Some stories are too alive to stay on the page.

I Heard My Name in an Empty Station

It began with a station at night.

Almost empty. Too quiet for a place built around movement.

A young woman is waiting there alone when she hears her own name through the station announcement system.

No one should be calling her.

No one seems to be there.

And from that strange, almost impossible moment comes a much larger question.

What if the life we did not choose could somehow call us back?

We all leave versions of ourselves behind.

The job we did not take.
The person we did not follow.
The city we never moved to.
The door we closed because another one was already open.

Most of the time, those abandoned possibilities stay silent.

But sometimes they return.

Not as regret exactly.

More like an echo.

The song grew from that feeling: the unsettling possibility that another version of your life might still exist somewhere in your imagination, waiting at another platform.

Would it have been better?

Would you have been happier?

Would you even recognize the person you became there?

There is no answer in the song because there is no honest answer outside it either.

We can imagine the roads not taken, but we can never live both lives long enough to compare them.

That is what makes the station important.

A station is a place between departure and arrival.

For a few minutes, you belong to neither place.

And perhaps that is exactly when the other lives become loud enough to hear.
